Mine Manager
Overview:
To lead and manage all mining operations on-site, ensuring safe, efficient, and profitable production while meeting regulatory compliance, environmental standards, and company objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership
- Oversee daily mining operations to achieve production targets (cost, tonnage, quality)
- Develop short, medium, and long-term mine plans in partnership with engineers and geologists
- Monitor site performance, operational KPIs, and cost controls
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations and state mining legislation
- Lead risk assessments, incident investigations, and implement corrective actions
- Promote a strong “Zero Harm” safety culture
People Management
- Lead and mentor mining supervisors, engineers, maintenance teams, and OHS personnel
- Manage workforce planning, training, and performance management
- Foster collaboration between contractors, site teams, and corporate stakeholders
Planning & Reporting
- Approve mine schedules, drill and blast plans, and budget allocations
- Produce operational and financial reports for senior leadership
- Manage contractor relationships, stakeholders, government regulators, and traditional landowners
Role Purpose / Overview:

Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, or related discipline
- WA/QLD Open Cut or Underground Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency (or eligibility)
- Minimum 8–10 years’ mining experience with leadership responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of mine planning software (Surpac, Vulcan, Deswik, Micromine)
- Excellent financial, compliance, and leadership capabilities
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage high-pressure environments
